Little Rock metro reaches record employment levels
The Little Rock metropolitan area has reached a significant economic milestone. New data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the region’s total labor force has officially crossed the 400,000 threshold for the first time.
Employment numbers in the area climbed from 351,000 in 2023 to 385,000 by 2026. This 10 percent increase indicates a strong period of growth for the local economy. The expansion is spread across multiple sectors, including advanced manufacturing, technology, financial services, and distribution.
Jay Chesshir, CEO of the Little Rock Regional Chamber, attributes this success to the quality of life that continues to draw residents and families to the region. He noted that the diversity of available jobs is a major factor in the stability and growth of the local market.
