Hilary Roverud currently holds the position of Interim City Manager, a role she took on in February 2026. Her tenure with the City of South Lake Tahoe spans more than two decades, during which she held several significant roles within the organization. Her history with the city includes service as Assistant City Manager, Director of Development Services, and Planning Manager.
Throughout her career, Roverud has led various municipal initiatives, including transit coordination and economic development projects. She was instrumental in establishing the South Tahoe Transit Joint Powers Authority and serves as its executive director. Mayor Cody Bass noted that the council intends to evaluate her long-standing commitment to the community and her recent work managing daily operations during the interim period.
