Aspen Standard Wealth continues its steady expansion with the acquisition of Denver Private Wealth Management. The New York-based firm added the boutique practice, which manages approximately $550 million in client assets, to its national affiliate network this week.
This transaction represents the ninth deal for Aspen since it launched its acquisition strategy in late 2024. It also marks the firm’s first move into the Colorado market. Denver Private Wealth Management, founded in 2014, provides services including retirement planning, tax-efficient strategies, and legacy management to families and business owners.
Darin Snow, managing partner of the Denver firm, stated that the partnership provides access to a wider suite of services for his clients. Aspen maintains a business model where acquired firms keep their existing names and local leadership teams. This approach allows them to use the parent company for capital, technology, and back-office resources.
The deal reflects a broader trend of consolidation across the wealth management industry. According to industry data, 2026 is on track to set a record for merger and acquisition activity. Experts project about 500 total transactions by the end of the year as firms manage increasing operational complexity and seek additional funding for growth. This environment keeps pressure on mid-sized firms to choose between remaining independent or joining a larger platform.
