Expansion into Florida Markets
Sax Wealth Advisors has finalized the acquisition of Lighthouse Financial, a wealth management firm based in Florida. This transaction closed at the end of June 2026. It marks a significant step for the firm as it secures a second physical location within the state. The move adds $350 million in assets under management to the firm's portfolio.
This is one of many aggressive moves by the company this year. Sax Wealth Advisors currently holds the 14th spot on the 2026 list of Top Firms by assets under management. Total holdings currently sit at $5.715 billion across the entire firm. The company has completed seven distinct acquisitions throughout the year. These deals have brought in approximately $860 million in additional assets and 10 new team members.
Integration and Leadership Changes
Martin Parlato of Ponte Vedra, Florida, joins the firm as part of the transition. He brings decades of experience and existing client relationships to the team. His addition is expected to bolster the firm’s reach in the regional market.
Kyle Stawicki, the managing partner of Sax Wealth Advisors, issued a statement regarding the deal. He noted that Parlato’s professional history and client-first philosophy align with the existing operations at Sax. The firm intends to maintain this strategy as it integrates the new assets and personnel into its current structure. Stawicki expressed an interest in ensuring a smooth shift for both the new team members and their existing clients.
Industry Context and Future Growth
Private equity remains a clear driver for this wave of consolidation. The parent firm, Sax Advisory Group, secured a minority investment from the private equity entity Cobepa in July 2025. Since that financial injection, the group has pursued a consistent path of expansion. The acquisition of Lighthouse Financial follows the recent purchase of SFS Financial, which was completed earlier in August.
The firm shows no signs of slowing its current pace of growth. Market observers note that this level of activity is characteristic of the broader shift in the wealth management sector, where mid-sized firms use external capital to scale rapidly. Investors and industry peers should monitor whether the firm can successfully merge these various regional offices into a cohesive operation. Continued acquisitions remain the primary goal for the leadership team as they work to capture more market share in the coming months.
