Apple TV to Adapt 'Fourth Wing' Author Rebecca Yarros' Next Novel

Apple TV has secured the rights to adapt Peculiar Stars, the upcoming novel by Fourth Wing author Rebecca Yarros. This acquisition comes well ahead of the book's scheduled publication in November. The project remains in the early stages as the search for a screenwriter is currently underway.

Yarros will serve as an executive producer on the series through her Full Measures Productions banner. While the book is not yet in stores, the premise follows a woman stranded on a deserted island with a member of her fiancé’s family after a cyclone. The narrative explores how their survival survival experience shifts her perspective on love before they return to a world of privilege and secrets.

This move adds another major literary adaptation to the Apple TV catalog. The streaming platform continues to compete for high-profile intellectual property, adding this to their list of recent drama acquisitions. Meanwhile, the adaptation of Yarros' earlier success, Fourth Wing, remains in development at Amazon Prime Video with Meredith Averill serving as showrunner.
