Simon described the experience of Parkinson’s as unpredictable. She noted that some days are difficult to move or think, while others offer more clarity and energy. She emphasized that while the condition brings challenges like apathy and physical stiffness, she is learning to navigate it without losing her sense of self.
Throughout this time, music remained a constant. Simon focused on recording her upcoming album, titled Comes in Waves. She stated that the work provided a routine and a reason to engage with her craft. This creative outlet helped her maintain perspective during a period of significant personal health hurdles.
She remains focused on her recovery and accepts that her daily pace has changed. Her new record is set for release on August 14. Simon expressed gratitude for the support from her doctors, friends, and family as she manages this next chapter of her life.
