Gracie Abrams Earns First-Ever Number One Album With ‘Daughter from Hell’

Gracie Abrams officially claims the top spot on the Billboard 200 with her latest release, Daughter from Hell. The album secured 124,000 equivalent album sales, marking the first time the singer-songwriter has reached Number One on the chart.

This success follows her previous project, The Secret of Us, which debuted at Number Two in 2024 with 89,000 units sold. That breakout era established her position in the industry and provided her first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

During a recent performance at the Bowery Ballroom, Abrams spoke about the themes present in this new music. She mentioned how the transition into her 20s inspired the lyrics and allowed her to explore feelings of loneliness alongside new kinds of excitement. The production credits on the record include Aaron Dessner, who has worked closely with her since her debut album.

Additional contributors to the project include Justin Vernon, Audrey Hobert, and Paul Mescal. Following the release, Abrams expressed gratitude to her audience for the connection they have formed with the new songs. She recently shared two bonus tracks, Love Letter and Out of Nowhere, to thank fans for their support.
