Christy Knowings, known for her roles on the popular Nickelodeon variety show All That, has died at age 46. Family members confirmed that she passed away on August 11 after being taken off life support following a severe asthma attack that occurred on August 7.

Knowings gained recognition for her work on All That between 1997 and 2000, where she played memorable characters such as Penny Lane, Lieutenant Fondue, and Brenda Stone. Beyond her time on the sketch comedy program, she made appearances in New York Undercover and had a multi-episode run on Sesame Street from 2008 to 2011. In 2020, she released a folk music single titled To the World.

Her former All That castmate, Kenan Thompson, shared his grief on social media, describing her as a funny and genuine person. Thompson expressed shock at the news and extended his condolences to her family during this difficult time.

Knowings was a native of the Bronx and grew up with a twin brother, Chris, who is also a professional actor. His career includes work on Sesame Street and in Spike Lee’s 1994 film Crooklyn. The entertainment community continues to share tributes for Knowings as news of her passing spreads.
