Adam Driver has rejected so many Marvel films it’s become ‘tradition,’ Kevin Feige says
Adam Driver has established a consistent pattern when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, the actor has turned down numerous offers to join the franchise over the years. Feige describes this occurrence as a tradition at this point, noting that while the studio reaches out to discuss potential roles, the conversations always end with a decline from Driver.
Despite the recurring rejections, the relationship between the two parties remains professional. Feige stated that Driver is always cordial and remains transparent about his feelings regarding the roles. The actor, known for his selective approach to projects, has historically focused on independent cinema and specific creative choices, even after his high-profile stint as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.
Rumors have often linked Driver to various high-profile Marvel villains, including fan-favorite comic book characters. However, those discussions have never translated into a contract. While Marvel continues to pursue him for future projects, the current track record indicates that these casting attempts remain unsuccessful.
