Netflix has officially announced the production of Grown Ups 3. The streaming platform confirmed that the original core cast will return for the third installment of the comedy franchise. Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, and Rob Schneider are all attached to the project. They will be joined by fellow cast members Maria Bello, Salma Hayek Pinault, and Maya Rudolph.

The film has moved into production in New Jersey. The plot centers on the group of friends as they navigate their lives now that their children are grown, setting them off on a new adventure. The production is a collaborative effort between Netflix and Sony Pictures.

Alongside the returning main cast, the film includes a group of Happy Madison regulars. This list features Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Meadows, Colin Quinn, Cheri Oteri, and Nick Swardson. The film also introduces a wave of new faces to the series, including Julie Bowen, Deon Cole, and several members of the Sandler family. Adam Sandler is currently scripting the film with long-term partner Tim Herlihy, while Kyle Newacheck is slated to direct the feature.

This project follows a string of successful releases for the Sandler family on Netflix. Recent hits include the sequel to Happy Gilmore and projects featuring his daughters, Sadie and Sunny. The announcement of this third chapter arrives as the streaming giant continues to invest in high-profile comedy sequels.
