Even with this decline, the film maintains a dominant position in the market.
Total domestic earnings for the movie are expected to reach 653 million dollars by the end of the second weekend. Earlier this week, the film surpassed Toy Story 5 to become the highest-grossing release of 2026. It achieved a 1.155 billion dollar global total in only seven days. This speed makes it the second-fastest movie to hit the 1 billion dollar mark, trailing only Avengers: Endgame.
Other films are also drawing crowds. The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan, holds the second spot. It is expected to earn 30.5 million dollars this weekend, bringing its North American revenue to 460 million dollars. Meanwhile, new releases like One Night Only, Super Troopers 3, and Ice Cream Man entered the market this Friday to mixed results.
