Imax screens played a significant role in this success. The format generated $2.4 million, marking the highest grossing Imax opening weekend in South Korean history. This performance pushed the overall market collective gross for the weekend to $20.8 million, a sharp rise from the previous week.

This release displaced the sci-fi thriller Hope, which held the top spot for two weeks. Hope moved to second place with $2.4 million in weekend revenue. Other films like Minions and Monsters, Moana, and Toy Story 5 rounded out the top five, though they trailed significantly behind the new superhero blockbuster.

Industry analysts note that this debut marks a major rebound for cinema attendance in the region. The sheer volume of ticket sales shows that audiences remain eager for major franchise releases on the big screen.
