‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Final Trailer Unveils Action-Packed New Footage of Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk Battling the Web-Slinger
Sony Pictures has dropped the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and it brings a massive surprise for fans of the franchise. The new footage features a direct battle between Tom Holland's Peter Parker and the Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo. The film hits theaters on July 31 and marks a distinct shift in tone from previous installments in the series.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie follows Spider-Man as he navigates a life where his secret identity is no longer known by the world. Having isolated himself to protect those he once cared about, he focuses solely on his responsibilities as a city defender. However, the trailer suggests his physical state is changing under the strain of these mounting demands, creating a new set of risks for him.
The film features a returning cast that includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and Jon Bernthal. Joining them are new additions such as Sadie Sink and Tramell Tillman. Production was managed by Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige, with a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
This release arrives five years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Sony is banking on the popularity of the character to continue the success of the franchise after the previous film set records for trailer engagement. Fans can expect to see how this physical evolution impacts the web-slinger when the movie opens later this month.
