Gracie Abrams Reacts to ‘Daughter From Hell’ Becoming Her First Billboard 200 No. 1 Album: ‘This Is Nuts’
Gracie Abrams just reached a major career milestone. Her third studio album, Daughter From Hell, claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart this week. This is the first time the singer has secured the number one position on this specific chart.
Luminate reports the album moved 124,000 equivalent album units in the United States during its opening week. This success follows her steady rise in the music industry, having previously peaked at number two with her sophomore effort, The Secret of Us.
Abrams expressed surprise at the result, telling her fans that the achievement belongs to them. The new 16-track project features collaboration with Aaron Dessner, who has worked with her on past records. The collection also includes contributions from Audrey Hobert and Paul Mescal.
With the chart success secured, Abrams now turns her attention to a large arena tour. These live dates start in December and cover venues across North America and Europe. Fans can expect to hear the new material, including the lead track Hit the Wall, performed live for the first time on a global stage.
