Jennifer Lopez recently captured a quiet, sentimental moment during a final family getaway before her children head off to college. While traveling through Venice, Italy, she paid tribute to Madonna by recreating scenes from the iconic 1984 Like a Virgin music video.

Lopez shared a video on social media showing herself aboard a gondola, dancing and lip-syncing to the track as she navigated the city canals. She referred to the trip as a road trip with her coconuts before the next chapter of their lives begins. The gesture serves as a personal nod to pop history while the singer enjoys time with her eighteen-year-old twins, Max and Oskar.

This trip comes shortly after Lopez spoke publicly about her near-miss with another Madonna collaboration. She was initially set to appear on stage with Madonna and Britney Spears during their famous 2003 MTV VMAs performance. However, filming commitments for the movie Shall We Dance? prevented her from participating in the event.

Madonna has also been active in Venice lately. She recently filmed scenes for the second season of The Studio in the same city. The project features Julia Garner, who was previously cast to play the Queen of Pop in a self-directed biopic that remains in development. Fans continue to monitor both icons as they intersect with the cultural geography of Italy for their respective projects.
