Phoebe Bridgers is hosting global listening parties for her new album, Lost Weekend, inside planetarium domes. These sessions occur between August 10 and the album release on August 14. Fans can attend events at over 40 locations across the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
The listening experience features two types of visual shows. One is a custom dome presentation created by night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi, while the other is an immersive laser display developed by Laser Fantasy. These visuals aim to complement the celestial themes present in the new record.
Events are strictly phone-free. Attendees must lock their devices in Yondr pouches upon entry to ensure the audience stays focused on the music and the dome projections. The phones are returned only after participants leave the planetarium space.
Bridgers is also preparing for her upcoming tour next month and a role in the new A24 film Primetime. This release schedule marks a busy season for the artist as she transitions from the album launch into live performances and film appearances.
