His wife, Serena Pitt, confirmed the update on August 9, sharing photos of the recovery process. Amabile himself stated online that his medical team successfully removed the entire tumor. The couple has expressed relief after the procedure, with Pitt highlighting the care they received at NYU Langone Health during the operation and recovery.
Following the surgery, Pitt provided a glimpse into their daily life as Amabile began his transition back home. She posted an image of the two of them during a walk in a park on August 10, describing the outing as a moment of normalcy. Amabile originally gained fame in 2018 during his debut on The Bachelorette, eventually meeting and marrying Pitt after they appeared together on Bachelor in Paradise in 2021.
