Prime Video Romance Drama ‘Rose Hill’ Finds Its Lead Cast
Amazon MGM Studios has officially greenlit its adaptation of the popular Elsie Silver book series. The upcoming romance drama, titled Rose Hill, is set in a small-town Canadian mountain region and centers on the complicated relationships between a rancher, a record label owner, and a country-pop star.
The production has now locked in its lead cast for the series. Jake Weary is cast as West Belmont, a rancher navigating commitment issues. He is joined by Sean O’Pry, who plays the role of Ford Grant, a successful record label executive. Hannah Galway joins the project as Rose Belmont, the sister of West and the romantic focus of Ford. Rounding out the primary cast is Sadie Dickerson, who steps into the role of Skylar Stone.
Heidi Cole McAdams serves as the writer, showrunner, and executive producer for the project. Marc Webb is tapped to direct both the pilot and the second episode, and he will also serve as an executive producer alongside the team from Temple Hill. The source material for this series draws from the novels Wild Love, Wild Eyes, Wild Side, and Wild Card.
This project adds to the growing portfolio of romantic dramas for the streaming service. Production schedules and release dates for the show have yet to be disclosed, but the announcement confirms the series is moving forward with its main quartet of actors set to begin filming.
