Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill has officially completed an expansion to its maternity unit. The facility increased its footprint from 18,000 to 36,000 square feet. This project boosts the number of available maternity beds from 20 to 38.
Management states this growth responds directly to rising patient volume across South Jersey. The expansion intends to provide families with more private space and personalized care options.
This update is one portion of a larger $257 million campus construction initiative. Future plans include a new five-story, 150,000-square-foot tower, upgraded surgical areas, and expanded intensive care facilities. The hospital expects the new tower to open in early 2027.
Inspira Health operates across multiple counties including Atlantic, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem. The network manages four hospitals and two cancer centers along with a broad range of multi-specialty health centers.
