If you have filled a prescription at Dillons or any other Kroger-affiliated pharmacy over the last eight years, you might be eligible for a payment from a $17 million settlement. The legal action alleges that the company misreported usual and customary prices for generic drugs, causing insured customers to pay more than they should have.

Kroger denies any wrongdoing, and no official guilt was established. However, the court has approved this settlement to resolve the claims. Eligibility extends to anyone who paid for at least one prescription drug with insurance benefits at a Kroger-operated pharmacy between December 9, 2018, and August 23, 2026.

Notices are currently being distributed to affected individuals. These notices include a claim ID number required to submit an application. If you believe you are impacted but did not receive a notice, you can check your email spam folder, as many people have reported finding the alert there.

To file a claim, you must visit the official settlement website. You will need to report your estimated spending on prescription drugs filled during the relevant period. Claims totaling $8,000 or more require supporting documentation, while smaller claims might also necessitate proof of payment if you are not identified as a primary class member. You can opt to receive your payment via check, PayPal, Venmo, or direct deposit.

It is important to act before the deadlines. Claims must be submitted by December 21, 2026. If you prefer to exclude yourself from this settlement, you must take action by October 22, 2026. Keep in mind that payments will be distributed pro rata, meaning your individual payout depends on the total number of authorized claims filed. A fairness hearing is slated for early January 2027, and payments are expected within 120 days of the effective date following court approval.
