AgriGold has announced its 2027 product lineup, introducing 23 new corn hybrids and 29 new soybean varieties. This release reflects the brand's shift toward incorporating direct farmer feedback into its development cycle. The new portfolio emphasizes genetic diversity, aiming to help producers combat localized issues like tar spot, southern rust, and corn rootworm pressures.
The 2027 corn selection includes hybrids such as the 117-day RM A647-09, which incorporates VT Double PRO and SmartStax PRO traits. The company also introduced the 113-day RM A643-74VT4RIB, designed for managing rootworm populations in specific environments. These additions demonstrate a focus on providing options for both defensive and offensive field strategies across the Midwest.
Soybean development is also seeing a significant expansion. For the first time, AgriGold customers can access Voltis soybeans, a line of Enlist E3 varieties. These new soybean products feature specific disease resistance traits, including Peking-based genetic resistance to soybean cyst nematode, along with improvements for white mold and sudden death syndrome tolerance.
Conventional seed options remain a priority as well. The 110-day RM hybrid A640-24, which debuted in 2024, is being expanded with the VT2PRO trait for the 2027 season. This move signals the brand's response to fluctuating market demand and farmer interest in cost-effective planting solutions that do not sacrifice yield.
Portfolio advisor Steve Schany notes that the collaboration between field agronomists and GDM's breeding programs allows the brand to address specific agronomic challenges. By linking feedback loops directly to product development, AgriGold aims to provide seed products tailored to the needs of individual Corn Belt operations.
