Black bear caught on video wandering into California water district office after pushing open front door

A black bear made an unexpected visit to the Crestline Village Water District office in the San Bernardino Mountains this Wednesday. Surveillance footage shows the animal pushing open the front door and walking into the building while employees were inside. The bear spent several minutes sniffing around the interior before heading back to the entrance. It pushed the door open once more and returned to the forest on its own.

Employees working at the district office watched the encounter unfold from a distance. One staff member, Josselyn Brian, described the moment as exciting and noted that the bear remained calm throughout the visit. No employees or customers were present in the lobby at the time, and no injuries were reported during the incident.

This occurrence highlights the frequent interactions between wildlife and human residents in mountain communities like Crestline, where bears often roam near neighborhoods looking for food. While sightings are common in the area, a bear entering an office building is a rare and unusual event.
