These comments follow a meeting between league players and LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil regarding the search for emergency funding. The league has faced financial instability since its primary investor cut off support earlier this year. Reports indicate the organization is seeking hundreds of millions in new investment to cover its operational costs.

Representatives for the resort confirmed they are in contact with the league but did not offer updates on the status of the event construction. LIV Golf has already canceled a scheduled tournament in New Orleans as it navigates this funding crisis.
