NASCAR recently revealed its first show car branded for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. This marks a notable shift as the organization brings its presence to a high-profile motorsport setting. The vehicle debuted during the 2026 Delta Sigma Theta South Atlantic Regional Conference held in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The project stems from the work of Camilla Wilkins-Bowens, who serves as a NASCAR NEXT intern. Wilkins-Bowens is a student at Louisiana State University and a member of the sorority’s Iota Theta Chapter. Her design highlights a direct connection between the sport and the organization through this specific show car.
Throughout the regional conference, attendees engaged with the car and participated in NASCAR racing simulators. This activation served as a way to introduce the sport to a wider community during the sorority’s regional gathering.
This partnership functions as part of the NASCAR NEXT Internship Program. The program provides students with real-world experience on large-scale projects while fostering community ties. By embedding the organization within the event, the sport aims to expand its reach and connect with new audiences across its national schedule.
