Justin Marks comments on Connor Zilisch’s Trackhouse future
Trackhouse Racing team owner Justin Marks recently addressed ongoing speculation regarding the future of rookie driver Connor Zilisch. As rumors swirl about potential interest from other top organizations for the 2028 season, Marks reaffirmed his current focus remains on the developmental path for his 20-year-old driver.
During a recent radio appearance, Marks emphasized the importance of the existing agreement between the team and Zilisch. He stated that both parties remain fully committed to their current partnership through the end of 2027. While acknowledging Zilisch as a high-level prospect who draws significant attention from across the garage, the team owner dismissed the necessity of discussing 2028 plans at this stage.
The primary objective for the team is to provide the driver with consistent seat time and experience in the Cup Series. According to Marks, managing the current relationship with sponsors and ensuring the driver feels comfortable on the track are the main priorities. He suggested that looking too far into the future is not a productive use of the team's energy right now.
Zilisch continues to navigate his debut season in the No. 88 Chevrolet. The organization remains dedicated to supporting his progression and maintaining the stability of his current program for the next several seasons.
