Every 1-2-3-4 finish in NASCAR history

Sweeping the podium is impressive, but finishing 1-2-3-4 is a rare feat that defines total dominance on the track. JR Motorsports recently joined an exclusive group of teams by achieving this front four sweep at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the NASCAR O'Reilly Series. Carson Kvapil led his teammates across the line, marking a historic moment for the organization.

Historically, this level of control remains difficult to secure across NASCAR's national divisions. It has occurred only once in both the O'Reilly and Craftsman Truck Series. In the top-tier Cup Series, the feat is slightly more common but still remains a rare signature of high-level team performance.

Hendrick Motorsports achieved this in the 2021 Dover race, where their drivers controlled 382 of the 400 total laps. Before that, RFK Racing, then known as Roush Racing, secured a memorable 1-2-3-4 finish during the 2005 season finale at Homestead. The final moments of that race featured a tight battle between Greg Biffle and Mark Martin, separated by just 0.017 seconds at the finish line.

Tracing the history back further, DePaolo Engineering stands out as the only organization to achieve this sweep twice in the same season. Fireball Roberts led the team to these finishes during the 1956 and 1957 seasons, including a dominant performance at North Wilkesboro where he led every single lap. These moments represent the pinnacle of team preparation and execution in the sport.
