NASCAR, iRacing Studios debut gameplay trailer, open pre-orders for NASCAR 26
NASCAR and iRacing Studios have officially opened pre-orders for the highly anticipated title, NASCAR 26. Following the performance of last year’s release, this iteration focuses on simulation accuracy and expanded features for console players. The game hits shelves for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 18.
A major inclusion this year is the Dynamic Track technology, which tracks surface changes throughout an entire race weekend. Players will encounter evolving conditions that mirror real-world race environments, requiring adjustments to driving strategy. The physics model includes updates to tire and braking systems, alongside an overhaul of driver AI to provide a more realistic field competition.
The game covers four distinct series: the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the ARCA Menards Series. Kyle Larson graces the cover of this year's installment, which features a roster of real drivers. Beyond the track, players can manage career progression through a new facilities feature and team upgrades, or compete in cross-platform multiplayer sessions.
Technical additions for NASCAR 26 include improved lighting, particle effects for smoke and rubber buildup, and visual upgrades to replay cameras. The developers also added new tracks such as the Qualcomm Circuit at Naval Base Coronado and Chicagoland Speedway. A new spotter, Freddie Kraft, joins the audio experience, and players can now perform victory burnouts upon finishing first.
Pre-orders for the Standard Edition are priced at $59.99, while the Gold Edition costs $79.99. Those who purchase the Gold Edition receive three days of early access starting September 15, along with monthly paint scheme DLC packs and career mode bonuses. With this launch, NASCAR continues its push to bring professional-grade simulation technology to a broader gaming audience.
