20 new NASCAR 26 features, from "Physics 2.0" to one-on-one training
iRacing Studios has revealed new details regarding the upcoming release of NASCAR 26, scheduled to hit the track on September 18. Pre-orders are currently active, offering fans a first look at the updates coming to the franchise this year.
The headline improvement is the introduction of what the developers label as Driving Physics 2.0. This update focuses on fresh tire and braking models designed to provide a different feel on the track compared to previous installments. The game also introduces a new one-on-one training mode, which features guidance from crew chief Steve Letarte and driver Jamie McMurray. A spotter voiced by Freddie Kraft is also included to assist during races.
Visual updates bring dynamic lighting to new skyboxes, and specific venues such as Rockingham have received a refresh to improve trackside detail. Players can also look forward to new gameplay strategy options, including the ability to change only the left-side tires during pit stops. The 750HP engine package is now available for road courses and short ovals to reflect real-world series rules.
Career mode receives several additions, such as new garage customization and facility upgrades. The game incorporates elements from the Door Bumper Clear podcast and includes an updated caution system with a new interface. NASCAR 26 will be available as a digital-only release, with the Standard Edition priced at $59.99 and the Gold Edition at $79.99. Minimum system requirements for PC remain consistent with the previous year, requiring at least 16GB of RAM and a 4GB graphics card.
