Andrus Peat is stepping away from the professional gridiron. After an 11-year run as a reliable interior lineman, the three-time Pro Bowl guard has confirmed his retirement from the NFL.
Peat spent the majority of his career in New Orleans, where the Saints drafted him in the first round back in 2015. Over nine seasons with the club, he became a consistent presence on the offensive line, earning three consecutive Pro Bowl honors from 2018 through 2020. His work helped anchor the unit through some of the franchise's most productive offensive years.
Following his tenure in New Orleans, Peat moved to Las Vegas to play for the Raiders in 2024. This stint carried extra meaning as it mirrored his father Todd Peat's own history with the organization during the early 1990s. He concluded his career during the 2025 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he contributed across six appearances and three starts.
In a message to supporters, Peat reflected on his time in the league. He stated that he gave everything he had to the sport and noted that while he is leaving the field, he remains grateful for the lessons he learned throughout his career. Peat exits the game having played in 117 contests for the Saints alone, leaving behind a resume defined by durability and sustained high-level play at the guard position.
