Inter Miami sign Brazilian superstar Casemiro
Inter Miami CF has officially signed Brazilian midfielder Casemiro. The 34-year-old arrives as a free agent following his time with Manchester United. His contract spans the remainder of the 2027 season, with an option to extend his stay through June 2029.
Casemiro brings a decorated resume to South Florida. He spent 14 years playing in Europe across Real Madrid, Porto, and Manchester United. Throughout his career, he has secured 21 trophies, including five UEFA Champions League titles and three LaLiga crowns. He also has 91 caps for the Brazilian national team, featuring in the last three World Cups.
Inter Miami managing owner Jorge Mas described the move as a reflection of the club's ongoing ambition. David Beckham added that he has long admired Casemiro as a winner at the highest level of the sport. The midfielder joins a squad that already features star talent like Lionel Messi, Rodrigo De Paul, and Germán Berterame.
To make this move possible, Inter Miami acquired Casemiro's Discover Priority rights from the LA Galaxy. The team currently holds second place in the Eastern Conference standings following the 2026 World Cup break. The club intends for Casemiro to provide leadership and tactical experience in the midfield as they prepare for the remainder of the season.
