Why Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark wasn't at WNBA Orange Carpet event
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark did not appear at the WNBA All-Star Orange Carpet on July 23. While many fans speculated about her absence, the reason is simple. Clark chose to spend the time in her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa, for a hair appointment before traveling to Chicago for the weekend events.
Despite skipping the pre-event walk, Clark remains a central figure of the weekend. She earned her third consecutive All-Star selection, securing over one million fan votes, which ranked as the second-most across the league. She will serve as a captain for Team Spoon during the All-Star game.
Clark previously declined an invitation to compete in the 3-point contest. She has maintained a busy schedule, recently posting a 45-point, 10-assist performance against Seattle. Her team practice is scheduled for Friday morning, and she is prepared to participate in the remaining weekend festivities at the United Center.
