President Donald Trump has posted several AI-generated images and a video clip on Truth Social featuring himself alongside the first U.S. President, George Washington. One clip shows Trump walking through a planned, yet currently stalled, White House ballroom project while Washington appears to review construction blueprints with him. The materials depict an ornate space with gold finishes and marble flooring.
This content follows a series of posts where Trump inserted himself into historical scenes alongside Washington, including an image of the two men on horseback. These digital creations arrive as the administration faces legal hurdles regarding the proposed $400 million ballroom renovation. A federal appeals court recently blocked the project, citing the constitutional authority of Congress over such structural changes to the White House.
While the ballroom construction remains on hold, the legal battle continues. The administration has appealed to the Supreme Court, asserting that the new facilities and an accompanying underground bunker are necessary for the President’s security and national welfare. The government has submitted hundreds of pages of updated plans, including designs for the bunker, to argue the case for the project's necessity.
Court filings indicate that the initial budget for the work has doubled from $200 million to $400 million. The President maintains that private donations will cover the costs. The Supreme Court is expected to address the matter by August 21 as both sides wait for a final determination on the building project's legality.
