IBM has opened applications for the Quantum Developer Conference 2026. The event takes place from November 11 to 13 at the Sheraton Grand Riverwalk in Chicago. This gathering targets researchers, developers, and computational scientists working to transition quantum theory into practical computational advantage.

The three-day schedule includes technical sessions, workshops, and direct access to IBM experts. Attendees will cover topics ranging from Hamiltonian simulation to new Qiskit tooling and advances in quantum error correction. The program focuses on how to implement these capabilities within real-world workflows.

Applications remain open until September 21, 2026. The selection team reviews applicants based on their technical background and active use of Qiskit. The organizers send first-round acceptances on August 10, with a final round of notifications arriving by October 12.

Space is limited for this in-person event. Those not selected to attend in Chicago can view recorded presentations on the IBM Quantum Platform following the conference. Interested professionals should review the eligibility criteria and submit their applications through the IBM portal to be considered for an invitation.
