While the United States and China pour billions into building massive, general-purpose quantum processors, researchers like Americo Cunha from the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing suggest a different path for developing nations.

Instead of attempting to outbuild the major global powers in hardware fabrication, Brazil is focusing on its comparative advantages. These include software development, quantum-enabled communications, and specialized sensing technologies.
