SPHERE AX and Blaize have entered a partnership to develop new physical AI technology for the global market. This agreement combines the South Korean company’s expertise in vision AI and edge computing with the California-based semiconductor firm’s hardware capabilities.
The two companies intend to explore a framework for research, product development, and commercialization of semiconductor-based solutions. Their work will focus on integrating Blaize technology with software expertise from SPHERE AX to meet the needs of customers both inside and outside of Korea.
Yunha Park, CEO of SPHERE AX, stated that this cooperation is a step toward producing commercial AI products in Korea based on global semiconductor standards. He expects the move to help Korea become a significant production hub for the edge AI market.
Dinakar Munagala, CEO of Blaize, highlighted the strategic importance of the Korean market. He noted that the partnership creates growth opportunities that will allow his company to expand the reach of its platform from Asia into the rest of the world.
