Australian neocloud firm Sharon AI just secured a $1.32 billion cloud computing contract. The agreement spans five years and marks a major expansion for the company as it prepares to deploy cloud capacity across New Zealand data centers. Revenue from this partnership is expected to begin in early 2027.

James Manning, the CEO of Sharon AI, stated that the company is moving forward with its first AI Factory in New Zealand. The project benefits from the established data center infrastructure already present in the region, providing a solid base for the firm to scale its operations. This move is part of a broader strategy to meet rising demand from government, research, and enterprise customers across the Asia-Pacific area.

Sharon AI currently maintains a total AI Factory capacity of 132MW. Of that, 116MW is already under contract to various customers. The company projects the deployment of more than 62,000 Nvidia GPUs by the middle of 2027 to support these workloads.

This deal follows a series of recent financial successes for the company, including a $950 million agreement with an unnamed global technology firm and a $1.25 billion capacity deal with ESDS Software Solutions. Earlier this year, Sharon AI also finalized a six-year infrastructure agreement with Nvidia to deploy 72MW of capacity in Australia using the Nvidia DSX AI factory design.
