This feature is currently available in select European Union markets. The company is actively working with regulators to expand the availability of this tool in the United States and other regions. While this functionality is a primary focus for the new hardware, Google is also expanding its health monitoring capabilities to older models. Users of the Pixel Watch 3 and 4 will also receive updates that enable tracking for blood pressure and insulin resistance trends.
These additions fall under a new category named Health Guardian. This interface groups monitoring tools such as irregular heart rhythm notifications and sleep quality tracking into a single dashboard. The goal is to provide users with a clearer view of their health data.
While these tools provide insights, they are not intended to replace professional medical diagnosis or treatment. The company is positioning these sensors as a way for individuals to monitor potential health changes over time, rather than as diagnostic hardware. As wearable technology continues to advance, the focus remains on the accuracy of raw signal collection to power these predictive models.
