Regulatory filings from Indonesia, South Korea, and Malaysia identify the device as the Amazfit T-Rex Dual Solar, registered under model number A2570. These government documents confirm that the manufacturer is moving beyond the prototype stage with the project.
The T-Rex Dual Solar follows earlier clues found in the Zepp Health application software. Code discovered in June pointed to incoming solar battery charge features and light-based power input capabilities. An unidentified rugged watch also appeared on social media accounts connected to the brand earlier this summer, matching the classic T-Rex design language while showing a display different from previous AMOLED versions.
The name suggests a specialized approach to energy collection. It remains to be seen if the Dual Solar designation implies multiple collection surfaces or different photovoltaic components designed to extend battery life beyond the current T-Rex standards. The previous T-Rex Ultra 2 is already capable of 30 days of typical use, so a new iteration focused on solar endurance is a logical next step for the brand.
Zepp Health hinted at additional T-Rex products in its 2026 earnings reports. With IFA 2026 approaching in September, it is likely the company will provide official specifications and pricing information soon. The combination of regulatory approvals and leaked software functionality indicates the hardware is ready for a mass-market release.
