Huawei is currently deploying the HarmonyOS 6.1 update to standard Watch GT 6 users in the global market. This firmware transition brings the device to version 6.1.0.118 and requires 127 MB of available storage on the wearable device.

The update includes several functional additions to the user experience. Notable changes involve new interactive watch faces like Sweet Companions and Dream Star, which allow for customizable complications and animations. Users can now mute incoming calls by covering the watch screen and utilize a new Nap Summary feature for tracking short rest periods during the day.

Training features received specific attention in this release. The software now distinguishes between aerobic and anaerobic activities while providing data on training load and performance prediction. Enhanced weather reporting now includes hourly UV intensity and perceived temperature metrics to assist with outdoor activity planning.

System stability and user interface adjustments are also part of this release. The update improves nightly sleep assessment accuracy, optimizes barometer calibration, and refines text scrolling animations. These changes follow earlier rollouts of HarmonyOS 6.1 to other premium models in the current wearable lineup.
