Anicorn Watches recently launched a new timepiece born from a collaboration with Kojima Productions. This watch channels the spirit of the Ludens character, a mascot created by artist Yoji Shinkawa to represent the studio's desire to explore the unknown through creative work. The design pulls clear inspiration from aerospace themes and the NASA aesthetic, featuring the familiar NASA worm logo as a visual anchor.
The watch case measures 42 mm and is crafted from 316L stainless steel, housing a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Its industrial look mimics the structure of the Ludens EVA Creative Suit, complete with four exposed bezel screws. The dial maintains a monochrome palette with distinct futuristic graphics, while hands and hour markers are treated with Super-LumiNova for readability in low-light conditions. It operates on a Miyota 8215 automatic movement, which is visible through a transparent exhibition caseback.
Practicality remains a focus, as the watch includes a durable black FKM rubber strap and 50-meter water resistance for daily use. Beyond the standard model, a limited VIP edition is available, restricted to 100 units. This package features the watch alongside a detailed replica of the Ludens mask, designed as a display piece for collectors. The collaboration targets fans of gaming culture who appreciate mechanical watch design and space-themed aesthetics. It serves as a tribute to the visual language established by Hideo Kojima and his team, translating those concepts into a physical wearable object.
