Galaxy Watch owners can now use their devices for contactless payments through Samsung Wallet. This feature allows users to leave their physical wallets at home during quick trips or workouts. The setup process begins by holding the back button on the watch and following the prompts to configure a screen lock and add compatible payment cards via a connected smartphone.

Once the setup is complete, making a purchase is straightforward. Users press and hold the back button on their device, select their card from the menu, and hold the watch near the payment terminal. This process mirrors the functionality found on smartphones, bringing the same convenience to the wrist.

Beyond credit and debit cards, the platform supports various other digital items. Users can store membership cards, transit passes, and specific ID cards directly on the watch. These items must first be registered through the Samsung Wallet app on a paired Galaxy smartphone.

Samsung has also announced an upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 22 at 9 a.m. EDT. Interested customers can reserve the latest devices ahead of the event to secure promotional credits. These credits apply to various accessories and wearables during the pre-order period.
