Google addressed the situation by confirming that the message was a technical error. The company states that the first-generation Pixel Watch remains fully supported. The alert did not reflect any changes to the software support status or hardware capability of the device.
The original Pixel Watch received its final update in October 2025. Over its lifecycle, the watch supported several versions of Wear OS, moving from version 3.5 up to 5.1 based on Android 15. The device continues to function as intended for health and activity monitoring.
