tvOS 27 and watchOS 27 Second Public Betas Now Available
Apple has released the second public betas for tvOS 27 and watchOS 27. These updates allow users to test features before the final versions arrive this fall. Interested testers can sign up via the official Apple beta website and install the software through their device settings.
Key changes for watchOS 27 include the integration of Siri AI, which processes requests directly from the wrist when paired with a compatible iPhone. A dedicated app now sits within the app grid for easier access. The update also introduces new gestures for widget selection in the Smart Stack and adds specific suggestions for transit cards or parking locations.
Fitness tracking receives an update as well, with improved accuracy for treadmill workouts and runs. The Workout Buddy feature now functions independently without an iPhone nearby. Additionally, the Find My app on the watch now includes support for Precision Finding to help locate items.
tvOS 27 features a redesigned Podcasts application and improved audio options in Apple Music, such as Hi-Res Lossless and AutoMix transitions. General performance updates are included to ensure faster app launches and smoother interface navigation. A separate beta for HomePod Software 27 is also available for the HomePod and HomePod mini.
