tvOS 27 and watchOS 27 Now Available to Public Beta Testers

Apple has officially opened its public beta testing program for the latest software releases. Owners of Apple TV and Apple Watch devices can now download and install the public beta versions of tvOS 27 and watchOS 27. HomePod Software 27 is also available for testing. These builds align with the third developer betas that reached developers last week.

The update for watchOS 27 introduces Siri AI capabilities for compatible devices. Users can access Siri directly from the wrist to manage personal data or handle specific tasks. The interface includes a dedicated app within a new app grid accessible via the Digital Crown. Smart Stack widgets now feature new gestures and suggestions for transit cards or parked car locations.

Fitness enthusiasts will find changes to workout tracking. Workout Buddy now functions without a nearby iPhone, and treadmill distance tracking reports higher accuracy. A unified Find My application is part of the update, which adds support for Precision Finding to help locate items.

tvOS 27 brings updates to the media experience. The Podcasts app features a new design, while Apple Music adds support for Hi-Res Lossless audio and AutoMix transitions. Profile switching is now simpler, and general system performance updates result in faster app launch times and improved responsiveness when using AirPlay.
