Residents in the Wynnfield Lakes subdivision are raising concerns regarding property damage following recent fiber internet installations. Homeowners reported dead grass, damaged lawns, and service interruptions to their existing internet connections during the construction process. Some residents noted that other utility companies had to perform additional work to repair lines that were cut while the infrastructure was being installed.

Former HOA board member Debby Carlson stated that neighbors did not receive adequate notice before the work began. The situation led to frustrations as residents managed the resulting disarray on their property. There were also reports of contractors covering up damaged areas rather than completing proper repairs, which forced other service providers to re-excavate the ground.

In response to these complaints, IQ Fiber stated that they are addressing the issues. The company reported that third-party contractors accidentally impacted a small number of service lines for other providers, including AT&T and Comcast. They confirmed that these lines are currently being repaired and that on-site coordinators are scheduled to inspect the neighborhood for further necessary corrections.

IQ Fiber claimed they issued notification waves via direct mail in June and door-hanger notices in July. The company apologized for the disruption and stated they are working with the property management team to ensure all concerns are resolved. Residents experiencing ongoing issues are encouraged to report them directly to the company through their online construction portal or customer support lines.
