I recently used Claude Opus 5 to build a custom application specifically for The Finals, a game known for its high-speed and unpredictable combat. The app, which I named FISH (Finals Interactive Study Helper), acts as an AI-powered training tool for analyzing game states and memorizing tactical elements.

FISH is designed to help players make better decisions under pressure. It generates random scenarios involving map objectives, team compositions, and respawn states, then provides specific strategic advice. While it does not interact with game files or provide an unfair advantage in real-time, it serves as a robust study assistant. By feeding the AI transcripts from expert YouTube guides, the application generates a comprehensive strategy bible that informs the training drills.

Building this tool highlighted the capabilities of current AI models. Opus 5 is highly efficient and capable of complex reasoning, though users must be mindful of token limits and agent behavior. I found that while the agent occasionally struggles with web-based tasks, it excels at processing large amounts of data to create actionable gameplay principles. It is a practical example of how language models can be applied to specific hobbies to accelerate learning.

Using FISH for one week resulted in a noticeable difference in my gameplay. I am faster at recognizing map modifiers, gadgets, and ideal team responses during critical match moments. For players who struggle to remember advice from videos during the chaos of a match, this type of application offers a way to bridge the gap between watching content and executing successful strategies in the game.
