How to pre-order Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8: See preorder deals
Samsung has officially launched three new foldable devices following the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. The lineup includes the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. These models serve as direct successors to the previous Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 series. Preorders for all devices began on July 22, with a wide retail release scheduled for August 7.
Pricing for the new hardware reflects current market conditions, including a global memory shortage. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 starts at $1,199.99, while the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 begins at $1,899.99. The high-end Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra carries a starting price of $2,099.99. These figures represent a $100 increase compared to the previous generation of foldables from the company.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 features a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display and a dual-lens camera system capable of 4K video recording. It includes 12GB of RAM and comes in four color options including pink, graphite, cream, and an online-exclusive mint. The device is designed to fold into a compact, pocket-sized square.
The mid-range Galaxy Z Fold 8 offers a 4:3 screen ratio with a 5.5-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch interior display. This model supports 8K video recording and provides storage configurations up to 1TB. Users can select from lavender, graphite, cream, or a pistachio color finish.
At the top of the range, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra stands as the largest device in the series. It features a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch main display. This is the only model in the new lineup to include a three-lens camera system with 30x space zoom capabilities. Available finishes for the Ultra include violet shadow, graphite, cream, and a green shadow option.
