Virtual reality gives man one more lap of the TT course

Virtual reality technology recently provided a unique experience for an elderly man who has long held a deep appreciation for the Isle of Man TT races. Helen Wallbridge, a heritage and wellbeing expert based in the UK, organized the event after interviewing the man about his memories of attending the motorcycle competition in past years.

To recreate the sensation of the course, Wallbridge sourced a high-quality 360-degree video filmed during a lap of the famous circuit. She played this footage through a virtual reality headset to provide an immersive perspective. The setup allowed the fan to experience the speed and trajectory of the course once again.
