Sacramento County woman identified as 2nd of 4 victims in deadly boat incident in San Francisco Bay

Authorities have identified the second victim of the boat capsizing incident in the San Francisco Bay. Tondra Miller, also known as Tondra Madruga, was a 58-year-old resident of Folsom in Sacramento County. Her body was located near Treasure Island on Thursday afternoon after police conducting sonar scans were alerted by a passing vessel. The recovery operation follows the sinking of a 50-foot cabin cruiser near Alcatraz Island earlier this week.

The vessel, which departed from the Saint Francis Yacht Club, was carrying 20 people attending a memorial service when it capsized. Of those on board, 16 individuals were rescued, while four people were reported missing. With the recovery of Miller, two victims have been confirmed dead, while two others remain missing. A dog also perished in the accident.

Friends and family are mourning the loss of Madruga, who is remembered for her kindness and dedication to her community. Her family released a statement expressing gratitude to the U.S. Coast Guard, the San Francisco Fire Department, and the civilians who assisted in rescue efforts. They also requested privacy as they navigate this difficult period.

The first victim identified in the incident was 79-year-old Clifford Joseph Boisa of Sutter County, a retired reserve deputy. His wife, Jackie Boisa, and his sister, Carol Boisa, are currently among those still missing. Recovery efforts remain difficult due to the depth of the wreckage, which sits approximately 130 feet below the surface. San Francisco police continue their search for the remaining missing passengers.
