Police received reports of the gunfire around 01:28 local time outside one of the residence halls. Medical personnel transported all five victims to local hospitals for treatment. According to official reports, four of the victims sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening. One victim remains in critical condition.
Authorities confirmed that they believe multiple suspects participated in the attack. As of now, no arrests have occurred, and law enforcement officials indicate that the suspects remain at large. The university stated that a student was among the injured victims, and that individual has since been discharged after receiving care. Another victim was noted as being under 18 years of age.
